First impressions are important, and you only have a few short seconds for people who are visiting your website to determine if your marketing message makes them want to learn more or click away. When people are on your website, they are asking themselves “is this for me” or “can this person help me?”

If your brand messaging isn’t clear on your website, your visitors won’t take the next step to becoming paying clients.

Your goal is not to be a coach for everyone because you’ll have a hard time standing out from your competition by being way too general. You want to have a clear and compelling message for a specific segment of the population that wants a solution to their specific problem or goal they want to achieve.

The Biggest Problem with Wellness Business Websites

There are a number of reasons your website might not be 100% aligned with your marketing message. Let’s take a look at them.

1) Your home page brand message is spot on, but the rest of the website is general and not specific enough for your ideal client to think, “YES, this is for me!”

2) All the pages are general, mismatched and non-ideal client specific.

If your website is all over the place and confusing, your visitors will be confused by what they are there for and how you can help them.

Whether you’re a brand new wellness business owner or have been working with clients for a while, it’s always good to revisit your website to make sure your brand and marketing message are aligned with your ideal clients.

Using Audits to Improve Your Website

One of the things I do often in my Facebook group, that I absolutely love, is auditing the websites of my members.

The idea of the audits is to help my group determine if their brand message is spot on or still needs some dialing in.

I always teach my clients to think of their website as their online home. You want that home to feel inviting and welcoming to your DREAM clients and at the same time turn away all the rest.

You can do that by designing a brand message that is clear, concise, and very niche specific.
