This will often take several touch points with you and it takes some time but preplanning the journey improves their overall experience in getting to know you..

Maybe they first learn of you on social media and then they click on your bio where they see a free guide or video series that can help them, and they get on your email list to receive the information. Somewhere in the follow-up of the free resource, there should be an invitation for them to take the next step to becoming a paying client.

3 WAYS TO USE YOUR FACEBOOK GROUP AS PART OF THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY

Kathleen and I have three simple ways you can use your Facebook group as part of the customer journey:

1) Offer your lead magnet in your group to grow your email list and offer your services as the solution to their problem in the follow-up email series.

Growing your Facebook group or any social media following is important, but one of the most important goals is to grow your email list, so you can stay in touch. Just a couple of weeks ago, Facebook and Instagram went down for several hours and many online businesses worried about how they’d reach leads and clients through those platforms.

If your Facebook page, IG account or other platform was disabled for some reason, you would have no way to reach your followers. You don’t own your social media platform, but you do own your email list.

Offering an enticing free resource in your group is a great way to grow an email list full of warm leads, because they have already taken the first step in the customer journey to join your group.

2) Do free trainings / live Q&As to build trust.

You can do monthly free trainings in your group that are exclusive only to your group members, so it gives people a reason to join and stick around.
